The Only Cranberry Sauce Your Holidays Need
A beautiful thing happened this Thanksgiving – I fell in love, and his name is Balsamic Cranberry Pear Sauce. *swoon*
I’ve always loved making my cranberry sauce from real cranberries but typically I’ve just added a bit of sugar and water and cooked it down. This year I heard a whisper from the pantry – it was my Strippaggio Cranberry Pear Balsamic. The result was the perfect cranberry sauce for all your holiday needs.
To make this wonder-sauce, you’ll need:
- 1 lb cranberries
- 1/4 cup Cranberry Pear Balsamic
- 1/4 c water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp thyme, chopped
Simply combine these ingredients in a pot and simmer until thick.
Here are a few ways to incorporate it into your holiday celebrations:
FOR A POTLUCK: Cranberry Brie Crostini
Simply top crostinis with your favorite creamy cheese and a dollop of this cranberry sauce and you’ll be the star of the show.
FOR A BRUNCH: Cranberry Mascarpone French Toast Roll Ups
Cut the crush from freshly baked white bread & use a rolling pin to roll it flat. Put a dollop of the cranberry sauce and a little mascarpone in the middle and roll it like a burrito then secure with a toothpick. Brush with egg and arrange in a baking dish. Bake 12-15 min at 400 and top with more cranberry sauce.
FOR A LUNCH: Cranberry Pear Dressing
Mix cranberry sauce with olive oil to make a hearty dressing to dress your favorite greens, veggies & fruits.
FOR A DINNER: Cranberry Pork Chops
Bake or grill your favorite cut of pork and top with warm cranberry sauce and a sprinkle of goat cheese.
