Our Favorite Meat Marinade
Just like good things come to those who wait, good meat comes to those who marinate. Marinating meats with natural acids, like vinegar, helps the meat become even more tender and holds in moisture.
Don’t let that marinade go to waste. When the meat is done marinating, you can pour the remaining marinade in a pot and bring to a boil, them simmer over low until thickened to make an amazing glaze.
For each pound of meat, you’ll want about 1/2 cup of marinade. Be sure to let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to an hour.
This recipe is a great base to work from. Add flavorful herbs, citrus rind or fruits for a unique twist, or try it with some of our flavored balsamics!
- 1/4 c balsamic
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- salt & pepper
