Our friends at Bolzano Olive Ranch got it right when they started producing their Meyer Lemon Organic Olive Oil. Read More

Sourcing local honey was no easy feat. Why you might ask? It seems there are a lot of local honey purveyors in Georgia. While there are many local honey producers, it was difficult to find one that exhibited the passion we instantly recognized in John Wright of Organic Mountain Honey. John is a third generation beekeeper having grown up assisting his father raising honey bees in the North Georgia mountains.

Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Olio Di Oliva – Olive Oil Tasting Seminar (O.N.A.O.O)
I had the distinct honor of attending an intensive two-day olive oil tasting seminar in San Francisco in January.
The seminar was taught by instructors for ONAOO, which is the first worldwide school of olive oil tasting, located in Imperia, Italy. The course focused on all facets of olive oil production and taught us how to identify the myriad of defects that can be present in bad olive oil.
We also learned how to identify positive attributes of olive oil and understand what is Read More
Strippaggio loves the charcuterie from The Spotted Trotter. We came home from the Winter Fancy Food Show with several new additions to our Gourmet Food selection. But we now also carry three new products from our local charcuterie purveyor, The Spotted Trotter.
The Spotted Trotter defines the art of charcuterie as follows,
. . . comes from the French words chair, meaning “flesh” and cuit, meaning “cooked,” and is the practice of drying, curing, preserving, and, most importantly of all, developing flavor in meat, fat, and tissue of animals.
You can now get The Spotted Trotter’s Chorizo, Genoa Salami and Toscano Salami in our Atlanta shop. They describe them in this way: Read More
Strippaggio went in search of several new products at this year’s Winter Fancy Food Show, held in San Francisco, January 18 th – 21st, and we were not disappointed. We just received new spreads and tapenades for The Gracious Gourmet.
We also found a wide variety of spices that will soon be offered under the Strippaggio brand as well as four new olive varieties from Sutter Buttes.
We met with several potential new suppliers of extra virgin olive oil from producers certified by the California Olive Oil Council and are excited to be introducing these new products in the coming weeks. Come on in and check them out!
We celebrated our one year anniversary at Strippaggio in December. What an incredible year it was!!
It seems like we just opened weeks ago but yet, twelve months have flown bywith the blink of an eye. In that time period, we have had the pleasure of getting to know many wonderful customers and neighboring merchants.
Area farmers markets played an important role for us in reaching out to those who might not have found their way to Emory Point. It’s so rewarding to see so many of you walk through our doors on a regular basis.
We can’t thank you enough for
your loyalty and for spreading the word about us to your family and friends. Without your support, we would not have had such an exciting first year.
There are several new initiatives planned for 2014 including Read More
